Located in the heart of Valencia, the Lonja de la Seda (The Silk Exchange) is a magnificent example of the commercial prosperity of the city during the 15th century. This Gothic building, with its imposing spiral columns and high ceilings, was the center of the silk trade and a symbol of mercantile wealth. Its Contracting Room is particularly impressive, and its orange grove patio offers a haven of peace in the middle of the bustling city. Known as one of the most important Gothic buildings in Europe, you can’t help but admire its imposing architecture and commercial history.
